Round-up of 2013 to 2014

I have neglected this blog horribly, in favour of: http://rosiesandler.wordpress.com/ and my new-ish resource site for poets: http://thepoetsresource.wordpress.com/.

A brief catch-up: poems have been published in the last twelve months in: 'The Rialto', 'London Grip', The Essex Poetry Festival anthology ('From the City to the Saltings'), 'Lighthouse' literary journal and a Penguin anthology called 'The Poetry of Sex'. Two more poems will appear in March 2014, in 'So Too Have the Doves Gone', an anthology launching during the Essex Book Festival (March 7th, at The Minories in Colchester), to mark the anniversary of WWI.

I've also had two short plays produced, as winning entries in playwriting competitions, and been longlisted for the Essex Book Festival radio/audio play competition. My story 'Splashed' reached the shortlist of 10 out of more than 500 entries in the Belinda Jones 'Sunlounger' competition.

I've had more than 4,000 readers of my young adult supernatural novel, 'Rare Sight': http://www.movellas.com/book/read/201211052234423573

Oh, and three of my stories are available to read via the Ether Books app for smartphones: http://catalog.etherbooks.com/authors/1026

Poems, a story and two novels...

It's been a good January so far, with poems accepted by The Rialto and London Grip, and a short prose piece published as part of Suzi Jones' 'Urban Story' project, which aims to publish a story for every Tube station in London: http://www.urbanvirtual.co.uk/#/hyde-park-corner/4572272316

Meanwhile, I've had more than 1700 readers of my supernatural novel for young adults, Rare Sight, which is free to read on the Movellas website: http://www.movellas.com/en/book/read/201211052234423573

I am hoping to find an agent (and publisher, of course) for my novel for adults, James Fitzpatrick as Himself - a tale of love, poetry and cross-dressing.

You can read some of my poems at my wordpress blog: http://rosiesandler.wordpress.com/
